I've always wondered why The Black Dahlia Murder is lumped into deathcore. They play Slaughter of the Soul melodic death metal. (with a black metal tinge and horror movie inspired lyrics) Given I'm a sucker for SotS, they're a no brainer for me.

I can understand not liking them because of the vocals, or just not liking melodeath in general, but they arent deathcore.
I'm actually really looking forward to their next album.
