If I remember correctly he's named "Ax Battler" because his arch nemesis Death Adder wields the golden axe.

The English games gave him a genuine name though, Tarik. That was one of my favourite video game franchises growing up.

Never heard of these guys before, but WTF. This is compared to Nocturnus for the keys and sci-fi themes, and there's some resemblance, but at the same time this is so much sloppier and in that good-inept category, and the vocalist sounds more constipated than growly which I'm liking too. Weird shit.
