This album's combination of In Battle There Is No Law style blasting with the massive, galactic riffs of War Master and onward is one of a kind. It's a shame they dropped their grind elements, but not really.

This has got to be in my opinion one of my favourite death metal albums of all time.

Just pure mastery.

Averse Sefira - Battle's Clarion

I think this a good example of a band that got better with each album. This is good but I think both Tetragrammatical Astygmata and Advent Parallax are better.

Yeah, I'd definitely recommend it. It has one of my favourite Averse Sefira Songs on it:



I especially love how the song is constantly building up and then explodes at 5:20 with that awesome guitar and drum section.

I need to revisit Averse Sefira. I thrashed Tetragrammatical Astygmata when it was first released but I've barely listened to it since. Never did get around to checking out Advent Parallax, despite most people around here claiming it's their best.

I actually still slightly favour TA myself. I find Advent is a very involved album that requires your undivided attention, it's rewarding though. I've seen a few claims that the closer "Vomitorium Angelis" is their best song. I don't really have an issue with that claim, it does have a huge riff.

It's good and all but it sounds like everything on Advent. They really could mix up their sound a bit. Well they split-up, but still...
