If the entire album was as strong as the concept part and the final song, I wouldn't hesitate to say that this is my favourite Helstar album. Well, at least in the guitar solo department, it actually is my favourite Helstar album.

The vocals on Domination are so bad. After putting in monumental performances on Altars and Blessed they’re extremely disappoiting. And while, I’ve never been the biggest fan of his vocals on Covenant, they are at least brutal. On Domination they’re just limp and too shouty. But limp is probably the best way to sum up Domination anyway. Never got into that album much.

I've never thought Domination was a stellar performance, but until I listen to Formulas again I'm still putting Domination above that

Blasphemy! Formulas is good. Chambers of Dis is fucking savage. And then there’s the epic Invocation of the Continual One. Nothing on Domination matches up to these.

Formulas is my least listened too MA album, even Illud has had more plays and I'm not a huge fan of that either. I'm going to give it another go and see how it fits into the disco now that it's been a while since I listened to the whole disco one after the other but it's got tough company.
