because I've been hearing a lot of good things about this cd, yet all I'm hearing is a bunch of disjointed wankery. perhaps it takes a few spins

Well, I've never listened to them, but I don't know what else you'd expect from a "progressive" metal band. I've heard lots about them too, but never bothered listening to them cause I figured I wouldn't like them anyway.

it's like 10 vocalists doing completely different harmonies while some dissonant piano playing is juxtaposed with some tech-ish prog metal. I think it's safe to say you can skip this one
