Discovered this album last night. Fucking love that cover art.
Rotten Tomb from Chile featuring the guitarist from Atomicide on vox and axe. Pretty old school sounding death metal, melodic in places, kinda reminds me of a mix between Dismember, Incantation, Morbid Angel and early Immolation. If you told me this was actually recorded back in 1991/1992 I'd probably believe it.
Still have got this CD, though I haven't listened to it in years. I had never seen the videoclip to one of their most hilarious songs, "Don't Call Me Dude", but nowadays you find everything on youtube:
Lacks the clean production and polish of the more recent albums but that makes it sound more similar to their live shows! Took me a while to track down a physical copy of this one on CD!
NP: Lake of Tears. Wish I'd known about this sooner! Trad Doom with gruff vocals is squarely what I'm about. I love this early 90s stuff that mixes Death/Doom/Gothic and the atmosphere/aesthetics of romanticism.
