It's definitely not much of a thing here. Mostly adults use it as an excuse to go to parties dressed up as slutty versions of things and poor kids go doorknocking but nobody buys candy for them.

We've got a few houses with shit out the front these days and some of the schools do things but realistically around here the only ones that get really into it is the shops who increase the price of lollies and get lots of cheap shit plastic pumpkins in. The local news was on the street last night asking people what they thought of halloween and of course the stopped the dreadlocked guy with the Napalm Death cap, leather jacket and Carcass t-shirt and asked him why he was celebrating the day!

They increase the price? Here they decrease it, same as Easter, and I usually take full advantage haha. Most people I know here who get into Halloween are just horror nerds, but of course their version of celebrating Halloween mostly just involves self-indulgent fandom shit like buying 30 knock-off Jason masks etc.
