A forgotten work of theirs. It was the follow-up to the critically acclaimed Into the Lair of the Sun God, but it wasn't quite the same level as its predecessor. The following EP was even worse, and they decided to call it quits. Pretty strange decision. I remember listening to Into the Lair of the Sun God; I predicted a very bright future for these guys, but evidently something went wrong. A pity.

I recommended the first one in the Memoria Vetusta series didn't I? Memoria Vetista 1: Fathers of the Icy Age. That one is good too, but not on the level of the first imo.

Yeah, I realized there was two and you rec'd the other one once it was too late haha.

Chris Black is a workhorse man.

Blut Aus Nord has kind of a diverse back catalogue and are pretty hard to pin down with one album. My personal favorite was always The Work Which Transforms God (literally sounds like a band of skeleton pirates imo), but my brother who is an even bigger BAN fan than me claims MoRT is the masterpiece. Memoria Vestusta I is probably their best traditional black metal sounding album. I dont think ive ever heard anything from them that was straight up bad, but I havent heard a new album of theirs in over 5 years so im not so versed in their new stuff.
