what's your favourite SDG now that you've familiarised yourself more with their discog?

Probably still Moonrise in Total Darkness, but I've been listening to that one and Snowland for years, whereas the other stuff has been only over the past 2 years or so. Honestly though, I find most of their stuff to be of a similar quality, except Ritual of the End which is their weakest, but still good. I like Emperor a lot more than you though I think and Moonrise in Total Darkness clearly takes quite a few cues from In the Nightside Eclipse.

If I was pushed right now I'd go: Moonrise, North, Snowland, Puressence, Ritual in that order.

What about you?

Puressence has been growing on me quite a bit lately and might rank higher at a later date.

First time listening to the albums properly. I love the night and day difference between them. So too early to tell, but II impressed me more for what that's worth.
