I don't know if this guy is (or ever was) considered metal by the majority, but For The Love Of Metal isn't a bad release for this year. Not sure if it will make my final list but it's got the same amount of cheese that Twisted Sister had and the guy still does a pretty good live show for an old fart.

Second time listening to it, which made a difference. It really doesn't stand out and falls into basic unmemorable epic patterns. The new Summoning is not amazing by any means but destroys this based on two listens each. Caladan Brood's album is simply a masterpiece and I can only pray that their follow up is half as good.
