how is it?

After one listen it's pretty much everything one expects from an Overkill album. After all this time anyone who is a fan knows what to expect from Overkill and they don't let down often. Will take a few more listens to decide where it sits among the rest of the Overkill collection but I don't hate it.

my favorite from their more "modern" albums is Ironbound, the other ones are good but nothing great.

For me even their stinkers weren't as bad as some of the other shit that came out around the same time.

no doubt. I would say Testament were releasing good/better albums in the mid to late 90s but they also didn't release a new album for about 10 years after that so i cant really use "consistent" when describing them. But they also dont have a single bad album so i dunno.

Yeah Testament were also one of the few that didn't fuck up too badly. Although I missed a lot of the albums that were released between about '98 and 2012 because I was working permanent night shift driving trucks 14-18 hours a day and I was too fucked when I did get home to even listen to music. It wasn't until I got off night shift and started living a little more normal life that I went back and started buying the albums I missed.

they only released one album during that time(the other is a re-recorded compilation) and it was The Gathering .. and it fucking rips dude, you should definitely check it out. I think you'd enjoy it...

you probably wont like this one because of the vox but its up there with the other three imo...

I've got all of Testament these days, I just didn't really get back into them until around 2015. One of the few benefits (there wasn't many) of working those hours and for that time was the pay packet and not having time to spend it. When I got out of the truck I went of a spending rampage

Nice, you were a trucker? a few of my buddies drive big rigs cross country. Very good paying job(especially if you own trucks), but always on the move.

Yeah but here we usually call them truckies, or "ya cunt" seems to be popular amongst car drivers who get scared when they see something with more wheels then they have. I've done plenty of cross country runs hauling shit like bulldozers, excavators and logging machinery, but I spent most of my time doing what we called local deliveries. My trip was a 600ks (about 6 hours) round trip, 4 drops, 2 trailers, and repeat the route twice in a shift.
