No worries, but it does only appear to work on reload once.

It's a problem with with the source and how the forum handles it, or the source and it's ability to hotlink images because the coding is correct.

No. I suspect it's Wordpress and hotlinking, because the image can be viewed by a direct link and the source page can be viewed but linking to it in a post draws a 'unable to load picture' error.
