an unquestionable classic but horribly inconsistent
I wouldn't say horribly inconsistent. Though it's true 22 Acacia Ave and Gangland are no where near the quality of the other tracks. Not that they are bad, they just stand out as particularly middling songs next to the likes of The Number of the Beast, Run to the Hills, Hallowed be Thy Name, etc.

it also has Invaders, and its no accident they have never played that song live. It's garbage; one of the worst album openers I've ever heard

however, as that guy stated earlier, the album finds its redeeming features in one-of-a-kind tracks like Hallowed, Run to the Hills, Children, and the title track, which has become sort of overplayed over the course of years.

espada's Maiden top 5:

1. Piece of Mind
2. Seventh Son of a Seventh Son
3. Somewhere in Time
4. Iron Maiden
5. The Number of the Beast

Hey we can agree on Piece of Mind being their best, at least!

I couldn't disagree with this more. Fucking amazing track, the bass playing is so adventurous and the way it gallops along is hype. No idea what the hell you were thinking saying this.
