Since you're doing 2005 albums, have you heard Blood Red Throne - Altered Genesis? The first two are better imo, though most people seem to consider AG their best. While they ostensibly don't do anything "special," what made them stand out to me in the early 2000s was that there were few new Death Metal bands playing in the old style and everything was brutal/tech. Those early albums had a ton of killer riffs. Tchort (ex-Emperor, ex-Carpathian Forest, Green Carnation) was one of the guitarists on those albums.
