Torchure: beyond the veil (ON CD). After i'm going to listen to The Essense mp3s seeing what one is better. I'll get back to you Swizzle!

The band signed a contract,etc... it sucks they are not going to get money but shit happens. I like great albums so i'm buying it anyways because I don't own it yet & it's remastered.

Bands sign contracts not having the copyrights to their music... maybe they did not read the contracts or don't care at the time because someone is willing to put the bands music out. I'm not sure how this happens or anything really. Tons of metal bands have this happen. Sometimes a label will not even sell the copyrites to an other label so that label can re-release music. What's the big fucking deal. Since you're not repressing albums how are you going to make money anyways so why not sell it to someone who gives a shit. I remember RR being a bitch about this a few years ago because some bands that use to be one the label wanted to buy the copyrights to their music.. the label said fuck you.

I don't think their anger with Earache has anything to do with not having royalties from Realm of Chaos; rather it has to do with artistic control and previous dealings.

Once upon a time, Earache wouldn't increase the amount payable to the band once their record deal was up for renewal. The amount they were on was derisory, and accordingly the band signed for Metal Blade. Suprise! On about the time that "Mercenary" was released, Earache released a sub-par collection named "Who Dares Wins" without consultation or liner notes from the band.

Earache: raping their past catalogue for all they are worth since 1987.
