nuendo 3, metronome randomly going silent for a beat or two

anyone have this problem, and know how to fix it?

Can't say I've ever had that issue with years of using it, Joey. Does it only happen under certain circumstances?

The most I've had was click being disabled entirely due to the volume slider in the import audio dialogue being down :zombie:

I don't know what control room is. I always just send it though LM-7 with the metronome note set to C#1 because I loath that beep.

its very random
its one of those things where i'd go to show you and it wouldnt do it again
then the second your back is turned it'd drop out

i can't figure it out
i've messed with everything from sample rate to sync to import dialog slider and anything in between

very frustrating...

Issues like these it could be anything. Have you noticed whether there is a difference when you use a custom audio click rather than the default Nuendo one? Or a MIDI click? It could be MIDI dropping out.

it ALWAYS happens to me, but not on every project - and this happens here at my home studio, on Nuendo 3, and at the studio i work on, on Nuendo 4.

Click problems are not that rare on Nuendo. Once i got a session where the click tempo would change suddently, for no reason at all ! (no tempo map, no nothing!)

ok i figured it out. it happens when you have multiple "studios" (aka playback routes) setup and you enable the click for both. i have the click set at different volumes in these different "studios" and i havent tested if the result remains when the volume of the click is the same for all.

in control room just disable the click from the booth you're not using and all is well.
