Sounds nice and big. The synth or whatever the thing with wich the song starts, is too loud. The vocals have a little too much reverb, imo. The kick sounds too "metal" to me.

nah, not just you....not my favorite snaretone either....drummer wanted it like this though..(it's his snare 13" Spaun), and before I repeat myself I'm cool with another flavour every now and then

I think the guitars and bass sound great! I don't really care for the drums at all though. For this style of music, I would expect to hear a larger and more raw drum sound with a little natural ring on the snare. Then there's the lyrics......just kidding

the band wanted a metalcore sound actually.
I wanted to have it more raw and fitting the style....so this is the compromise between those two.
drums are all natural (but the kick which uis augmented a bit for the very lows)...this was as far as I could go without totally ignoring what the band wanted...obviously a plain metalcore sound doesn't really fit the music though
k...sometimes you gotta do what you think is right to convince the band....
I dropped the samples altogether and raised the roommics to get the whole thing dirtier.......like it much better now..I hope the band thinks so, too.

I like the latest version a lot more than the earlier. There seems to be a lot more "life" in the drums.
The bass seems really low. Is this something you decided to do mix-wise, or has it something to do with the performance?

Band sounds like a terrible version of 36CF and Limp Bizkit somehow... (i love 36 CF though, and to me LB is already terrible ).
I dig that drums sound (definitely very close to 36 CF "A Snow Capped Romance"), especially that snare.

Congrats on nailing that drums sound.
the mix is perfect for the genre. Dont take every opinion fro granted, listen to your ears and feelings. I love the loud snare and the loud bass and everything. Only the vocals might be worth to eq a little (+ reverb). Other than these.. if something sounds good to you dont waste it.
