im sure everyone here has recently heard the decision of the R.I.A.A. to beging filing lawsuits against individual computer users that share music on the internet...

are u for or against this?

im H-E-A-V-I-L-Y against these assholes

i dont understand this... the past few years ive only heard about how internet music sharing has HELPED record sales, and then they come on and say its lost them $300+ million dollars a year...

even if they were going to stop this, i think theyre going about it in the worst way possible, suing individual computer users that share music, more rights being stripped away from us, out of the privacy of ur own damn home

sources if ud like to learn more about the 'for' and 'against' sides:
http://www.riaa.com/ (horns up to the hackers who have hacked the official RIAA site 6 times in the past 6 months)
http://www.boycott-riaa.com/ (great information, ull find the truth here)

discuss if u like...

a really good point someone made at zeropaid.com was that what they dont realise is that they are dealing with the millions of voters out there, its time to get with the times, the record industry has made squillions over the years and now they are getting some of there own back, when they start relaising they should put albums online to dl + cover art at a really cheap price they might get back on track with consumers!

The RIAA is gonna get themselves into a big pile of shit and they are not gonna be able to get themselves out of it. In the future, I see a lot of bands forming their own record labels and releasing stuff on their own.

The RIAA is gonna lose big time and that is fine with me. :Spin:

The RIAA can suck my balls.
They may as well track down every one of us who has ever purchased a CD burner or a dual cassette tape dubbing stereo.
But, part of the problem are all those who download entire albums that they like, and never buy the real album......

I must admit i had the nerve to download what doesnt die but as soon as i heard it i had to get the album. Which i truly did. There is no harm in downloading a few songs then making an informed decision to purchasing the proper album. Next on the hitlist is probably the new mm album, i really like mobscene
