Q: Why the fuck did you get that far?

Korn = Utter, utter shite.

I'm not a fan...I don't even really know their music, but they're relatively successful...they must have done something right. I'm sure they've sold a hell of a lot more albums and sold out a lot more shows than most bands we listen to.

they have, but it's all just media related. their music offers nothing to anyone. no challenge, no emotion, and they have no true staying power. the media has labeled them as "heavy metal," and while I guess that isnt directly their fault, it just makes kids think that they are heavy metal fans. thats why when i tell someone "i listen to metal" they say, "oh like korn?" it gets me very angry.

this band sucks. i listened to their new song at the gym yesterday when it came on the radio. the drumming is just atrocious, the guitar riffs have set the standard for mediocrity and the singer, well....the funny thing is, he really DOES sound like Anders Friden now. Oo I guess I should say that Anders Friden sounds like he does.

Avoid at ALL costs (if you didnt already know).

Well that might be true - but their latest album makes Shit Anger sound as the most precious piece of music ever.

I'm not saying it's good music, but they're successful...someone sees the appeal. I'm sure Metallica's shit releases didn't sell as well as Korn's. It's not like it's metal...why not just complain about Linkin Park or Limp Bizkit...it's shit music, what do you expect?

I'm not really complaining. I actually burned their latest CD from a friend who told me that it kicked ass, and was very unpleasantly surprised - I actually hadn't been very familiar with their music before, had known only few older songs which weren't that bad.

Yeah...I think they just have a loyal following...it has that young, angry, adolescent angst appeal. My oldest son is 15...he likes them. I think they were successful at capturing their audience and you have to give them credit for that.

I liken it to the Anthrax appeal...they suck and they're dicks to their fans, but they have a loyal following. Sorry...of course that's only my opinion...I know you're a fan.

No problem.
