anyone here who's heard of them? they're a promising young finnish two piece band who's just released an all acoustic promo sounding similar to ulver's kveldssanger and some of empyrium's stuff. personally i really like it and having learnt a bit of the music taste in this forum i thought someone else might be interested as well, perhaps enough to even write a review on RC hehe, cause i think they deserve some recognition.

Very good, I'm enjoying the piano lead, guitar accompaniment, and string background. Very layered effect.

That's really good. It's like a cross between latter day Empyrium and Tenhi. What's interesting is that they're going to build a trilogy, leaving the first one instrumental, and follow it up with 'metal' elements and different vocal types (including harsh).

I'll write them an e-mail.

yeah i really like the trilogy idea and it will be interesting indeed to follow their progress. and btw the cd comes in a really lavish (by demo band standards mind you) digi pack, a real treat for such an avid (obsessive?) record collector as myself

This arrived today (thanks M Lehto). Considering this is a self-release, the packaging with that digipak is exceptional.

Doom would like this too. Very similar to Tenhi and Forseti.

Hey M Lehto - just curious, but are you approaching labels with your demo? Or are you waiting to continue on with the follow up of Tuoni before doing so?

Hello there and first of all, thanks for a great review!

I've approach few labels (Napalm Rec, Firebox, Equilibrium Music & My Kingdom Music) with Tuoni, but so far nothing. I'm not so surprised, since as you know, all material on Tuoni is instrumental. Funny thing is, that if someone would have released this as a small print, like 500 copies, they would have sell it enough to cover the costs of pressing it. I have to say, that it would be a great relief to get a label to handle everything, since handling all by myself takes a lot of time from music.

Well, maybe I'll find some label that is willing to take a risk and is not in just for making a big profit. I know I'm not, I just want release music.

Well I think some label should distribute Tuoni, if anything just so more people can hear it! I mean, it is cool that I'm part of the exclusive club and all, but this stuff deserves some more exposure.

Nice to hear and since I just sold the last copy of it, the first pressing with digisleeve is now "out of print" from me (one distro might still have some, but I don't know for sure).

I think now I really have to focus on pressuring labels, since at least I don't have money to make second print before summer.

Still, the first print will stay unique, since I like all these strange limited edition-stuff, so I don't want to release it in the same package again.
