Off to see Nevermore in eight hours

caustic? I just want to know the goddamn setlist
Ah, 'k, just thought you were being sarcastic there.

Setlist was:

Beyond Within
The River Dragon Has Come
Your Poison Throne
Born
Emptiness Unobstructed
Inside 4 Walls
The 7 Tongues of God
The Termination Proclamation
This Godless Endeavor
The Heart Collector
The Obsidian Conspiracy
Enemies of Reality

Show was awesome, Warrel's voice was great, even though he missed a few lyrics here and there, but who cares with a voice like that? Jeff and Jim were impeccable as always, Van crushed everyone on drums, and Attila did a great job too - you could tell he loved every minute of being onstage.

Personal Crowning Moment of Awesome was when Warrel, during Enemies of Reality, pointed at me and mouthed "ELSTORMO?" Didn't know he could actually see us with the lights and all (although he may have been tipped off by my sudden scream during a silent moment of "PAN-CAKE NIP-PLES!"), but that he actually recognized me was awesome :)

Saw Iris too, pictures will be posted after I've slept :)

Thanks for the details - I really hope I get the chance to see them in the U.S. later this year!

I love that shit! Just goes to show you how awesome the guy is for pointing out forum members.

Ah good to know it was awesome, I really can't wait for Tuesday now. Pretty awesome about the shout out from Warrel. I've always thought it great of him to interact with fans on the forum, let alone in the middle of a gig :) Although I'm nowhere near as sexy or important as Stormy so I'm not expecting anything :p

Edit: Shit, I missed my 14,000th post :(

Exactly. That's what I love about the metal genre - the musicians (well, most of them) aren't pompous gits with a rock star attitude, but guys who just love what they do and appreciate their fans for supporting them. That WD actually managed to recognize me and knew who I was isn't to my credit - it's to his.

Aw, I'm not important (though I am sexy). Pretty sure WD will know who you are too, if you use the PANCAKE NIPPLES battlecry at the right moment. :D

PICTARDS!

Warrel looks like he's about to charge and beat you with his mic. Jim watches, mortified.

Clipboard02.jpg

Warrel giving it his all, as always

Clipboard03.jpg

Jeff in the middle of the River Dragon solo (I think)

Clipboard04.jpg

Van beats the shit out of his drum kit...

Clipboard05.jpg

... and screams his defiance at the sky

Clipboard06.jpg

Jim banging at the crowd

Clipboard07.jpg

Whatever Attila has seen there, it scares him.

Clipboard08.jpg

Fuckin' metal!

Jim looking like he has a 'fro.

Stormo and Iris :D

Yup, setlist was good.
The band was solid, although i thought they played a bit reserved in the beginning.
Which i can imagine, since there are new songs and a guest guitarist on the bill. But along the gig, they loosened up.
Van, solid as always, gave me a big 'Hello Iris' grin and worked his ass off during the show.
I loved to see the huge smile on Atilla's face during the whole gig and he and Jim played with much energy.
I hardly caught a glimps of Jeff yesterday, since he never leaves his spot and i was standing right in front of Atilla.
WD missed a few lines here and there and he made a bit of an absent impression on me, compared to other gigs i've seen of Nevermore.
On the contrary, his voice is in utter condition and that what he gave, was to the fullest.
I loved the high pitched vocals and if there might be anybody out there that doubts if he can pull through a new Sanctuary album, i hereby declare he can do it. Too bad the vocal sounds weren't well balanced. It took the soundengineer 3 songs to get the sound somewhat reasonable but along the show, it went from sometimes way too soft, till way too hard. Nevertheless, it was great to see Nevermore live again after 5 years.

It was due to reading WD's lips that said 'El Stormo' that i was able to find him.
Always a good experience to meet another forum member!
My pics turned out way too blurry and i now know again, why i never take pictures during live shows.
Anyway, these were the only 3 worth posting.

Everyone looks great! Glad to see NM alive and kicking, even if only in pictures *sarding violin sound*
