I thought that it would be fun to see photos of everyone's pet(s)!

I'll start by introducing Sammy ~ our 3 month old Maltese.

We adopted Penny about two months ago. She's a two year old Australian Cattle Dog mix. You can't tell in the photo very well but she's bi-eyed.

Oh man, absolutely every pet is adorable! You guys sure know how to pick 'em! :p

An old picture of our baby gerbils. They all have new homes now, and there is only one surviving adult. Soon, our pet family will look like this again!

"Family Portrait"? lol! This is Sir Tubbington, Jr. He's our only gerbil at the moment.

We'd like to have other pets in time. We both love cats, but are both allergic. So we're thinking about a chinchilla! :-)

I'll post more about my dog and cat - but you can look at my avatar for the cutest but most pain-in-the-ass dog you've ever seen. His name is Max and is a pure bred black Pug. Most Pugs are fawn color - but there are a small percentage that are black, and an even smaller percentage that are silver in color. Max is 3 1/2 years old.

Max considers snoring to be an Olympic sport - he practices each and every day in hopes he'll be part of the 2012 snoring team!

His hobbies are sleeping and chasing the cat in the house, and chasing squirrels and birds in the back yard. He even has his own YouTube video (I'm at work now - will post the link later) where he likes to do laps around the sofa and dining room table.

Edit: OK, I'm home from work. Here's the YouTube video.

Dweezil - The orange/white tabby - Rescued from a rehabbed house on my street. New owners raised pit bulls, found him crying under a bush during a t-storm. Never saw mom, or the rest of the litter after the new owners moved in.

Rhapsody - Seal Point Siamese - Last Christmas gift from my mom before she passed away in 1999. The little princess can do no wrong, and she knows it.

Here are our two boys, Caisson (left) and Caliber.

And our poor cats Tang (left) and Lynx that had to move in with a friend of ours because they hated our new dogs.

How the cats could hate these cute little faces I'll never know. Especially Tang, he was just as big!

Calpurnia, aka Constructosaurus Cat. Have had her since she was six weeks old and she climbed up to the desk where I was standing and declared that I belonged to her. She's now 11.

And Imp, whom I rescued when she was nine months old. She's now 7, and not *quite* as much of a hellion as she used to be, but she still has her moments.

Here is Dobby. Dobby the house Cat. He was the Pet of the Week back in Nov on a local news show-his first family gave him up as they couldn't afford him any longer. I was currently on a break from pets as I had just lost the last of my 4 cats (all due to age). My BF had recently lost his cat just before he moved here suddenly one day for no apparent reason-found him past when he got home from work-and wanted another cat in the worst way. I saw 'Midnight' on the news and relented. Dobby was 2 in May.

And yes, he is just as mischievous as his namesake. He also thinks he's part dog....as he loves to play fetch with his ball and drink out of the toilet.

This is 'his' spot on the couch

More on the four legged children...

Here's a picture of Max and Mittens. Mittens is about a year and a half old.

Even though they love chasing each other (yes, the cat does sometimes chase the dog!), it's not uncommon that both of them will sleep together on the same blanket. Here they are lying next to each other on the sofa.

Jesus christ, what is with all the cats? lol.
I live in an apartment, and so cannot have the kind of dog I want. Also, I live alone and I wouldn't feel right leaving a dog at home alone so long while I'm at work or whatever. Cats are nice and low maintenance, and mine act more like dogs than cats for the most part anyway. Win-win. :)
