The newest member of the family...

Ben the rabbit....

That's the most foul, cruel, and bad-tempered rodent you ever set eyes on!

Does it have nasty, big, pointy teeth???

Now that I'm living in my own place in Chicago, I have aquired my first (as a Real Adult) pet - Say hello to Moon Unit Zappa (which will be shortened to just "Zappa" if she turns out to be a he.)

She's a 5 year old (so claims the prev. owner) tangerine Honduran Milk Snake. She's roughly 3ft long, is incredibly shy, and not all that bright when eating her f/t mice. Though she has figured out that if she pushes the mouse against a the side of the tank, she can swallow it down easier.

Resurrected this old thread just to say I lost my kitty today. He was a tough bugger who tolerated no other animals but loved all people. His last couple of days were hard and I'm thankful he died peacefully at my feet at home. It will feel mighty empty here without him.

Sorry, if this isn't the place to post this.

Oh, AMBR I am so very sorry to hear this. Please accept our sincerest condolences. I know what a heartache it is to lose a pet and my heart goes out to you.

I don't have any pics of my wife's cats, and in in case they're not "my" pets anyway. Not a cat person. But I do have several of our lovable idiots!

Socrates, supposedly a lab/catahoula mix. That's what the pound told us.

Buddy, a true mutt.

Socrates being thrown into the same lake. I'm not sure he's ever forgiven me for doing this, but it's so much easier than bathing them.

Buddy found the bright side to being thrown in the lake...eating the fish food.

Socrates was pushing against my wife's legs so hard that it was actually hurting her. Soooo not a fan of a forced swim.

And last but not least...true proof that duct tape will fix everything.

Here is a video of my dog Molly, doing what she does best! those of you who are friends with me on Facebook will be familiar with her I'm sure! lol

@Joan - That snake IS awesome!

That's guys. All these kitties have turned me into a pile of goo.

AMBR, I'm very sorry to hear about you losing your kitty. I can't tell you how many times I've lost a pet, and it hurts the same each and every time. You have my most heart felt condolences.

how do I post a pic?

First, you need to upload the photo you would like to post online somewhere.. for example, on facebook, photobucket, etc. Doing so gives the photo a URL.

Copy the URL of the image. You can do this by right-clicking on it, selecting Properties, and then copying the Address (URL).

Then, come back to this thread, and select the "Insert Image" icon above - the yellow square w/ a mountain in it. Delete the blue highlighted http:// and then right-click to paste your copied photo URL and click Ok.

Hope this helps!
