Official meet my pet thread.

Okay, I'll bite, even though I think we've done this same thread several times already..hehe. :)

My beautiful dog Sampson..half golden & half chow. He's about 4 now & thinks everyone was put on earth to love him, all 80 lbs of him.

My cats, Simba & Shadow, who are brothers/littermates. They're about 7 now; Simba's giving Shadow a bath here.

I live in an apartment, and so cannot have the kind of dog I want. Also, I live alone and I wouldn't feel right leaving a dog at home alone so long while I'm at work or whatever. Cats are nice and low maintenance, and mine act more like dogs than cats for the most part anyway. Win-win. :)

+1,000,000 not to mention, cats are metal, and cats rule! :heh:

Here goes....

Our cat Visby. From Tampa Humane Society about 7 years ago...

The other cat is named Maja.

We also have three more snakes, a box turtle and a pond with fish galore. At one point I had 30 breeding pairs of snakes. Supported myself through college by breeding reptiles.

They're Russian Blues. Possibly Nebelungs, which is an even rarer sub-breed of RBs.

The fatter one, formerly my friend Ripper's cat, has been dubbed Greebo by mutual agreement. If you're familiar with the Discworld books, this cat has a similar disposition to Greebo when any visitor comes to the house (except Ripper and his ex). Burglers be warned. :)

The skinnier one, formerly Ripper's GF's cat, I just call Squeakers since...well, that's the sound he makes in lieu of a meow.
:)

This is Scooby

Since he's been diagnosed with IBS, he's aged alot over a short amount of time, losing his Alice Cooper marks, but he's still my bestest bud..

The wife was begging me for a dog for about a decade, and she always wanted a Cocker Spaniel. Well, someone was giving away a 3 year old 25 lb Cockapoo that looks just like a Spaniel. That was a year ago, and Graham's been with us since.

Cats rule - I have 5 of them (well six if you count my friends cat that is staying with us). Cats are very METAL in my eyes because they were the originators of the scowl and f@ck you attitude!

There's 4 of them? Damn ... I've only noticed 2 at a time. No wonder Lek is so furry - the cats shed on him! ;)

not many people know that sammy exists because he hides when there is company, family...just really anyone...even me...he doesn't trust me (even though he is a momma's kitty)...could be because i've handed him over to the big furry one way too many times :muahaha:

claus, you think it's the CATS that are doing all the shedding??!?.... ;)

Dude!!! That's soooo ... uaaarghh ...

I can not deal with snakes - this thread should come with a big shining WARNING tag on top :(

You had 30 of them at a time? Damn ... I wouldn't want to live in your neighborhood ;)

Mate!
That's 30 PAIRS = 60 snakes... You would have loved it... Every now and then when we sat in front of the telly, a stray runaway would slither across the living room....

I now have 2 daughters and they have inherited my love for the scaly critters... My youngest have 2 hognose snakes and 1 python in her room as we speak.

Max considers snoring to be an Olympic sport - he practices each and every day in hopes he'll be part of the 2012 snoring team!

Edit: OK, I'm home from work. Here's the YouTube video.

LOL! Hey, you'd need a mid-day snooze too, if you did all that running!

I don't currently have a pet, but I'm an "aunt" to Bailey, a 3-year-old rescue beagle that my sister and her husband adopted. It's actually a perfect arrangement. I play with him...and they feed him, pick up the poop, and pay the vet's bills.

I really need to make a new video of him when he chases flashlight beams or laser pointer beams. Makes that video look tame!

I should have gotten a video of Penny from when we were watching Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien. He did a segment with a sports-like entrance because of a tunnel under the crowd that reminded him of the ones in stadiums. They had these laser like sounds that would come out of different speakers so she was running around from speaker to speaker freaking out.

She does something similar to those laps too but that involves our stairs and a laminate flooring that makes her slide and fall over every time she gets to the bottom before getting back up and running up the stairs again.

Edit: Here's the video to the segment on Hulu. http://www.hulu.com/watch/75811/the-tonight-show-with-conan-obrien-an-nbc-entrance
The effect is best with surround sound though.
