I have never heard this many people say that Pizza Hut was great. There used to be a Pizza Hut next to where I used to live and I thought it was pretty good, but it went out of business quite a while ago. So the only easy/cheap pizza place around is Domino's which I fucking hate!

Dominos sucks and should only be eaten if Pizza Hut and Papa John's (in that order) are unavailable for whatever reason. I know there are other mainstream options, but those 3 are the only ones that I know are pretty much everywhere. Papa Murphy's (the take-and-bake place) is actually really good, but I know they aren't quite as universal.

+5 to your second point though

^ I agree with your entire post, except Papa Murphy's, not familiar with them. I've had Dominos just a couple times, but it was so freakin bland...though some of their specialty pizzas look OK, on TV at least ;)

Canto's Greek pizza place sounds good...I'm assuming they offer feta cheese as a topping, and that rules on pizza!

Yes they do offer fetta cheese pizza as a topping, and its AMAZING! The pizza is okay tasting, but most of the time the toppings fall of the pizza which I dislike a lot!!!

Little Ceasers has a $5 large pizza which is a very hard price to beat, but it doesn't taste that great.

Theres this damn good pizza place next to Clemson called Columbos, and its a Chicago style pizza. Its pretty good.

What's funny is, every time I've had pizza in NYC, it sucked ass. I have yet to experience this 'omg to die for' NY pizza..I think it's a myth. *g*

Oh god, there's a New Yorker in a pizza discussion. Here we go. ;)

Lombardi's was featured on The History Channel so it's awesome by default.

EDIT:

We like to hide the good places from the tourists ;P

Check out Papa Murhpy's if you get a chance...it's been a while for me so I can't remember what their prices are like, but the pizza is great.

My personal favorite pizza places are:

Savoy's- Local chain here in the Twin Cities (i think there are 3 or 4 locations)...great stuff, very filling, and the right price

Pino's- A small place in the foodcourt in the skyway here in downtown st. paul. It's a old itallian guy and his kids who run it...GREAT people and equally good pizza

Franco's- Back in Delaware....small place (can't remember if it's a chain or just the one location). Their Sicillian pizza is unspeakably good. Probably my favorite overall.

Lombardi's > All

Not a F'in chance, girlie! :D

I'll put Dion's and Saggio's up against anybody's pizza. Even New Yorker's. And Chicagoans. :p

Your on tap predjudices automatically disqualify you! :p:)

Ditto for me as well. Chicago style deep dish rules all. They just opened a Gino's East in Lake Geneva. Now I actually have to choose between Upper Crust & Ginos.....sucks! Of the NY pizza I've had, I'd much rather have gone to Little Ceaser's or Pizza Hut....I WANTED to enjoy it, but it was quite unimpressive. I even want to say we had Lombardis, but it was quite a while ago, and it honestly wasn't memorable enough...

CA has THE worst pizza on the planet......Iraq could do better!

Pizza Hut is my favorite junk-food place. Rarely go there though, with fear for both my health and economy...

Phanto, this is off topic from pizza, but I'm doing a report on Sweden for history and I may have some questions for you about your prog heaven of a country (Yes, that's why I picked it!) If you don't mind, that is. I figured it would be easier to ask someone who lives there than dig through articles and books.:)
