Am I the only one who thinks so? The way metal crowds behave on concerts is mostly ridiculous and uncivil :puke:. Seriously.

Exactly the reason why I don't go to them. That's almost as bad as 'Emo's' at concerts. Some people just need punched in the damn mouth or something!

I'll be honest, aside from Children of Bodom, every metal gig I've been to has been thoroughly enjoyable... But then again CoB do suck ass so :p

That does suck though Jeff, especially being a guitarist 'n all.

Well I mean no one intentionally ran into me. There was a mosh pit, and I'm pretty sure we hit back to back. No big deal, really. It wasn't one of those tools that just HAS to hit/drag people into the pit who are OBVIOUSLY not interested.

And no, Jax. I'm just gonna bounce from coast to coast forever. Like that Scorpions song, "Coast to Coast." :) BTW, what's the Voodoo Lounge in San Jose like? Ever been there, and are there any good restaurants nearby?

Ouch, Jeff. I hope your hand heals quickly (for the sake of Street Fighter, at least...)

I went to see Disturbed in Stockholm and there was also moshpit and generally very unciviled behaviour. We had to move aside because those 6-7 feet tall bald Swedes were quite agressive and drunken to notice that there were actually people who wanted to watch the show instead of thrashing around.

He was clearly...disturbed :)

since i didn't get a chance to say it in the appropriate thread, i want to say that it's fucking awesome that this forum can talk politics, get heated and passionate and still manage (for the most part) to remain civil. That was pretty cool, and a very fun thread. Good times!
I agree...but now I'm going through a bit of election withdrawal

Because I had never seen them playing live. The band's not entirely my cup of tea but they made a good show. A lot better sound than on album.

(I went to see a girl in Sweden and she likes the band. And since I like her I decided to offer myself as company for the weekend.)

So yeah, maybe I'm a bit disturbed. :loco:

Lmao
Well I have to say no. For me a "fuckin' awesome concert" happens when you go watch some really awesome music played by really awesome musicians.
No need for anyone to bleed/piss blood, or to suffer from self-inflicted neck exhaustion.

I have to respectfully disagree there Marwen. If the band onstage doesn't inspire me to bang my head and pump my fist in the air, it's not a show worth attending. Musicianship is good, but i'm there to watch them for the energy and awesome songs.

I can do without moshpits. Just a sea of flying hair.

Then good for ya mate! :) - It's totally a matter of preference anyway.

I really almost don't go to metal concerts anymore, and became so keen on classical music performances instead. So I guess that explains my standpoint. I'm not 'cool' anymore. lol
