For the first time ever, Innis & Gunn of Edinburgh has perfected the process of ageing Edinburgh Ale in American White Oak Barrels.

Renowned for the depth of flavour they impart to the drinks matured in them, these same barrels are widely used in the maturation of malt whiskies and of certain wines in which delicate oak-derived characteristics are highly desirable.

I tasted it some weeks ago while being somewhat drunk and found it delicious. Storing it in oak barrles gives it this great "raw" whisky taste which workds very well with the ale itself.

haha. i like it. sorry. i mean as far as ales go it's not exquisite or anything but it's very easy & pleasant to drink especially when you're trying to get drunk
