Official RC Snobby Beer Purchases Thread

Swizzle and Climb Thar, I thought you guys might find this interesting. I listened to the first 4 episodes at work and it is extremely informative, if a bit dry at times. I don't think I've learned as much about beer since I checked out some beer guides earlier in the fall.

Basic Brewing Podcast

Tons of episodes, starting with the basics. It will make you want to start brewing if you don't already.

:kickass:

in brewing related news...I'm finally picking up all the little knick-knacks needed to convert a cooler into a mash tun today

They fail to realize that you have to consume more of the beers on the left to get the same effect as those on the right.

Whoever takes calories in to consideration when drinking beer is a cunt.

Certainly. But just as a publication of calorie info, it's nice to see, mostly so that you can tell calorie-counting beer drinkers how little they're really saving by subjecting themselves to shitty beer (except for that Beck's Premier Light...64 calories? WTF? Is it made with Splenda?)

I love those new Budweiser TV ads, where they say something like "our beer is the greatest because it HAS to be, because it's so see-through. Those dark and cloudy beers? They just hide all kinds of rat feces and stuff in there, so stay away from them!"

So yesterday the woman and I met up with some of my co-workers at this placed called the Stuffed Sandwich. It was voted #9 of the top 50 places to grab a pint in America.

For good reason too! Rotating taps that feature great brews and an amazing bottled beer selection. Great glassware selection too if you wanna buy a tulip glass, stein, etc.

The food is whatever but the beer! Oh joyous beer! The owners are an absolute pleasure to speak with too! Very knowledgeable and helpful. Spoke with them about Dogfish Head and Three Floyds and they're doing their best to get some bottles distributed out this way.

Speedway Stout on tap is such a great experience
