I had given this disc a chance when it was first available, but was left unimpressed. I decided to check this track out, just for chuckles and grins. It intrigued me enough to listen to the whole disc again. I've since been playing it non-stop.

I REALLY like the music but the vocals do nothing for me....

The vocals are not great, but they're not bad either. Mostly, they're run of the mill death vocals. However, mediocre vocals are more easily overlooked (for me) when it comes to this style of vocal.

Couldn't agree more; same thing happened to me. Never heard such pure emotion like that. Would you ever consider them as an oddball!?

I have this ENTIRE cd on repeat in my head. At first I was meh on the concept for the album, but have thoroughly enjoyed wikipedia'ing all these wild west heroes. All the stories are crazy, and they are generally about people who were freaking really real. Pretty awesome. Volbeats CD's are now continuing 3 different story lines...but its keeping me entertained.
