If you've got nothing to do for the next 5 minutes or so... My favourite act got voted out of X Factor tonight. Not sure if you have that show, it's like Pop Idol, you get the picture. Anyway... these things happen, but one of the acts that has been kept in every week is beyond awful. I was describing her singing style to a friend, and she thought I was exaggerating until I played her a vid. So, on the basis of these two performance, both from tonights show, what are your thoughts on these acts?

Unfortunately these shows are voted on by mostly teen girls and the vampire chick from the first two videos is most likely too feminine for them... but don't the judges vote out the singer each week?

We had the show for one year but it flopped and was never brought back. The last time I ever heard of the group that won was when I was in HMV one day and I saw them looking through the CDs. I didn't wait around to see if they bought any.

I listened to one second of Diana's second song and that was enough. All I can say is, if British audiences prefer her over Ruth, we should ship Kasey Chambers over there and see how they like it.

Well, I guess I'm pleased it's not just me then. Ruth wouldn't have won anyway, because she's Spanish so she won't have a whole town voting for her. The person that should win is a woman called Alexandra who is genuinely very talented and has got the R n B appeal that is so important to the UK market these days. She's likely to have a big career if the right people get behind her, as they did to Leona Lewis who won a few years back. Hope Ruth gets picked up by somebody because I do think she's fab, but maybe just not for the very dull British audience.

Too late man, I YouTubed her. Yeah... couldn't be listening to that for more than about 5, maybe 6 seconds. I think Diana Vickers still has the edge on her for her pure nasal cat-being-fucked shriek. And that freakish, freakish hand.
