OK..new thread...dark ambient

Since I haven't heard much dark ambient, I was wondering if any of you could help me? Anyways, I checked out the Eibon site (thanks Demonspell) and discovered a couple great ones like Caul and Reutoff....and I'm not done hearing the other bands. If anyone knows of any bands trhat fall into this category please mention them....

The only ones I'm really familiar with are Dargaard and Die Verbannten Kinder Evas. Both excellent bands.

oh and Pazuzu which is also great. good for video game listening.

It don't get much better than:

Dargaard - Eternity Rites
Dargaard - In Nomine Aeternitatis
DVKE - In Darkness Let me Dwell (side project of Protector)

and Pazuzu's "Awaken the Dragon" and "And All Was Silent" are both creepy ambient ritualistic albums.

I listened to Nothing the other day, it was okay. Wasn't really paying much attention, but seems like something I'd dig for hours at a time in a dark atmosphere.

Jason William Walton is an erratic genius...he just released a new album from this project. Despite the recommendation, I'm only familiar with about a third of the Eibon roster (they sure know doom when they hear it!)...

Which Nothing did you hear? I have all three main releases and "The Grey Subaudible" is no doubt the best in my opinion. It's a little bit more "musical" than the others, but quite original and very good...

I heard the samples from the Eibon site. They are incredible at what they do for sure. Now I have to somehow find search results for a band called "nothing" lol.
