This is probably the best 00s movie, and yes the fight scene is really realistic, but the way it is filmed seems like i am seeing Shinobi, Double Dragon etc on celluloid. Which is incredibly cool of course.

Yes, a great movie. I wasn't a fan of Sympathy for Mr Vengeance (first of the trilogy, indirectly related via vengeance theme) but Old Boy fucking rules. Also, Sympathy for Lady Vengeance is just fucking killer! Min-sik Choi is also in this one, but not in the same role of course.

Watched Sympathy For Mr Vengeance the other day, it was ok. Sympathy for Lady Vengeance shows up today, I think, so I shall watch it tonight hopefully.

Gonna finally watch Oldboy this weekend.

In other news, they're blaming Cho's descent into madness on Oldboy. (Apparently the picture of him holding the hammer was ENOUGH EVIDENCE to tie his dementia to the movie omg).

Sympathy For Mr Vengeance > Oldboy > Sympathy For Lady Vengeance, imho.

That said, they're all amazing films. I almost felt sorry for Choi Min Sik's character at the end of Lady Vengeance.
