The last couple of weeks I have been listening to a ton of Exodus stuff, and keep being reminded at how under appreciated these guys are in much of the metal community.

Bonded by Blood, Fabulous Disaster, Tempo of the Damned, and TAE: Exbibition A are in my opinion out and out classic thrash records. TAE: Exbibition B and SHKM aren't far behind either.....these guys, for mine, would be next in line in the thrash league after the big 4 in terms of influence, success, and quality of records. (Yes I know.... Testament would be the other).

Killer stuff. Just had to share this!

Forgot to mention also.... the live DVD they put out last year Shovel Headed Tour Machine is really cool as well. The doco on it runs for nearly 2 hours and gives a cool insight into the band from day 1 to now. Heaps of live footage including a full setlist at Wacken and more bonus extras than you could ask for. Some funny shit about Paul Baloff on there too!!!

Even "Force of Habit" has a few cool tunes on it. My fav is actually "Another Lesson in Violence", the 1997 live album with Baloff on it. He actually sounds a lot better (and crazier :loco:) than he does on BbB. Along with the great production/sound, it's my most-played Exo release...

Get in our way and we're going to take your life
Kick in your face and rape and murder your wife
Plunder your town your homes they'll burn to the ground
You won't hear a sound until my knife's in your back
and the EXODUS AAAATTACK!!

i just wish exodus played more songs from that record, its gold, impact is immenent was very dissapointing, band said so in many interviews, they made alot of bad decisions, glad to c they r kicking ass still

Did you go and see them last year when they toured? They played every capital except Adelaide, I was so pissed! Couldn't get interstate at the time either due to work commitments and $$$'s.

I reckon now that I've finally seen Maiden for the first time a few weeks ago, Exodus and Testament are the 2 bands on my "never seen but desperate to" list.

Well, I'm back on my Exodus listening binge. I still think Tempo of the Damned is the best Exodus album yet. No contest.

One of the best thrash albums I've ever heard.
