One of my earliest HELLOWEEN memories!

Ok, so below is the HELLOWEEN portion of the HELL ON WHEELS concert which was broadcast on HEADBANGER'S BALL back in the 80s.

This tour also featured GRIM REAPER and ARMORED SAINT

I was already familiar with HELLOWEEN, but seeing this on MTV back when it first aired made me a fan. It was so cool to see a band who didn't take themselves TOO serious, but still played kick ass melodic but heavy jams.

I taped this show on VHS and still have it from when it was first aired. Crazy that MTV showed a Helloween concert.

I want to say if I recall correctly that it aired on Halloween weekend that year.
