Opeth as workout music

my only workout is when i walk to and from work everyday, i listen to an assortment of music... i prefer walking to death metal - Obituary is a great walk band :s

studying isnt really a nerdy thing.. in the final exams everyone who's not a complete retard is going to study A LOT

way to go to analyze my lighthearted comment so seriously ... I have a career in academics, you really think I'd consider studying as nerdy then? ...

btw, if you need an adrenaline boost from music to work out, opeth is definitely NOT the way to go ... it's nice while jogging i guess, to keep yourself from being utterly bored.

I've listened to every Opeth album except 'Damnation' while running, and I think 'My Arms, Your Hearse' works out the best. It's not just that it's probably the heaviest Opeth album, it's the emotional stimulus the story provides. Good concept albums are great for long runs.

And yeah, Opeth ain't bad for intimate times ('Windowpane' especially)... but there's already a thread about that. ^_^

I dont go to the gym, I do push ups and I do jogging, when I jogg I like to listen to the zombies, odyssey and oracle to be more specific, is that weird?

I've also listened to Robbie William's angels for one whole jogging session.

Same is true for Cradle of Filth's Nympethamine.

Hmm, I probably am weird

I have done so, but I prefer something faster, more erratic. The other day in the gym I spun Akercocke, Earthless and Dso, which suited pretty well. I have a playlist of heavier Opeth tracks which goes down well. Wreath, Deliverence, Heir, Demon, BWP etc.

I listen to Cannibal Corpse, Black Dahlia Murder, Nile, etc. heavy/fast as fuck/melodic death metal to work out.

I have a whole playlist on my mp3 player to my gym visits. Opeth feature during the resistance training bits, and I stick to a lot of folk metal and some Symphony X for the other bits. I stick To Rid The Disease on for doing sit-ups!
