Opeth at New England Metalfest?

so the metalfest's website www.metalandhardcorefestival.com has nightwish cancelled, but says they're pretty close to booking a "huge" band for one of the days. everyone seems to think it will be either opeth (based on what their site says about playing some shows before the summer tour) or slayer (since they're kinda "huge")


slayer's probably more likely, but what do you think the chance is that opeth will play? the fest is only like a month and a half after they're to start recording, but who knows...

Opeth or Slayer either one will do. I can't wait for the third day of the NEMF, as it shall crush.It's gonna be awesome. -l-

Opeth would make this enticing, but Ozzfest will be the festival to catch this year with Maiden, Belladonna-era Anthrax, and Black Sabbath headlining.

well i'm definitely going to the new england metal fest anyway, its just that if opeth played, it'd make it 100x better
