Opeth - Benighted and Camel - Never Let Go

i've been rediscovering opeth "rip-offs" today. the start of in my time of need and rapture's two dead names sound very similar as well.
 
Iron Maiden is of course another big influence/source of ripoffs. compare the first heavy riff of "Moonchild" with the last heavy riff (where Mike sings "the sun sets forever... ") of blackwater park. Nearly identical. Just one example of many I'm sure.
 
i think its great that Opeth has drawn alot of people to bands like camel, king crimson, yes ect and in many ways i think its elements of camels sound in opeth that i first loved contrasting with the brutal stuff all inone song.
im also pleased that many more people will have discovered one of the finest electric guitarists in Andrew Latimer and certainly one of the most soulful and tonful ones, Andys cry like santanas is his true voice
