I had gotten this friend of mine named Drew into Opeth. Now he was someone who was more a fan of Damnation than anything else they had done, but he still liked them.
When he was still in highschool he had seen somebody wearing an Opeth shirt at his school. So he went up and said, "Hey Opeth awesome band," or something like that and this metalhead with the shirt just looked at him all arrogant. What a prick

Its a good album. It has some of my favorite Pumpkins songs on it, but it could have used the pruning of a song or two into B-sides.

I've been frequenting this forum for a couple of years now, to the point where I hardly post here any more because people are constantly being aggressive, pointlessly swearing and being abusive.
I'm sure Opeth fans outside of this forum are cool, but nice people here are few and far between.

Dude you should have been around when UM first started, even in 2003 it was full of idiots. Not so much as it is now, but it was bad then too.
Back when it first began the Opeth community was small, everyone practically knew each other, and there were a lot of cool threads and less annoying "what's your favorite Opeth song?" or "Who's Melinda?"

Yeah I saw I guy who was wearing an Opeth t-shirt and had hair down to his ass and was wearing sunglasses and I almost thought he was actually one of the dudes from Opeth so I'm like "Holy shit dude your music rocks" and he said "Metallica sucks". (I was wearing a Metallica shirt)

Yea metal fans are cool. The only bad concert experience was when I went to see the shins, mother fuckers pushing everywhere. I saw Pantera and had skin heads offering to watch out for me in the pit (16 at the time), but i was 21 at a show being pushed around by fans of the OC. What the fuck is up with that.
