I was watching the new feature "Surviving Nugent" on VH1 the other night, and late in the program, they used the opening of "Windowpane." Bitchin'. Just thought you'd like to know.

Opeth really are getting more and more popular, it's almost scary.

Yeah except the sound editors for mtv and its bi-products ususally use clips from metal songs and the general public can't tell what it is.

Plus Opeth didn't get any coverage on MTV/VH1 before Damnation.
Granted,Blackwater Park and Deliverance have sold much much more than their predecessors but that's to be expected. If they keep doing the mixture of clean/growling vocals (which I hope) and songs with heavy riffs and no verse-chorus-verse-chorus type of songs they will never get proper airplay on those channels.

they use a lot of clips from lesser-known bands in their shows. in one show i heard both Porcupine Tree AND Meshuggah. i almost died.
