If he wasn't arrested for it being illegal, he should have been for wearing something like that in public. Not only is it stupid, but it's also ignorant.
I'm not even remotely religious, but every show I attend has some retard wearing a shirt that say's something equally as stupid and childish.
This just in - those shirts don't make you look cool.
Back on topic, I have plenty of self made band shirts. But I also buy my fair share of the official one's. I just don't like wearing the same one 250 other people have on.
It goes to show that you don't have to be religious to be preachy. I agree, it's extremely stupid, and there's always going to be some fucking moron out there who feels he/she needs to make a statement that most people don't give a fuck about. To those people, I'll wear my "Shut The Fuck Up!" t-shirt.
But at the same time, getting arrested for it goes against the First Ammendment.
But people who do shit for the one reason of offending others deserve a beating. There's no point in it. It's solely to get negative reaction and cause problems. To the people whining about the guy getting arrested for his beliefs...

...C'MON, are fucking joking? I don't think that would be categorized as a "belief". It's nothing more than a statement, and a useless one at that.
Anyway, that's my opinion, and as far as making your own t-shirt, go the fuck ahead. If you sell it, than I hope you get busted. There are all ready plenty of bootleggers in the parking garages after most shows, if you want a cheap fake. Me, I'm not made of money, but I'll get a real one for too much cash, and wear it proudly in support of the band.
