opeth W2 + scandinavian tour

Hej, there

After the incredible succesfull performance from Opeth in W2 i heared from the guitarplayer Peter that Opeth would not be playing in Sweden next year. Probably there won't be a scandinavian tour at all. In january i will go to sweden for a semester to study there and i thought to see opeth there for the fourth time in my live. Isn't Opeth that succesfull in Sweden? And why aren't there playing other bands like immortal and bolthrower in scandinavia? Why the fuck i have to go back to the Netherlands to see my favourite bands playing live? Why aren't they playing in scandinavia? Most of the bands are scandinavian! I'm glad to live in the netherlands so i am able to see every band i wish to see. I'm sorry for all those people in scandinavia.
(if i am wrong, could anyone tell me if there are some nice gigs in sweden in the period of january till july?)

Opeth arent that famous in sweden now, everybody just think they are soft-ass, or some people just say: "Opeth, nah.. I dont like Goth".. Like goth has anything to do with Opeth.. Swedes are the best country in creating music (in my humble opinion) but also the people who accept swedish music worst..

I dont know what the hell is wrong with swedes anyway..

Where are you gonna study btw ? If it is in Stockholm you will probably be living very close to where I live since all exchange students end up here.

It's pretty weird, there are many swedish bands that seem to be big in europe but small here in Sweden. I also went to Wacken and once there I realized most bands I really wanted to see were actually Swedish. Opeth being one of course. Therion was another. Therion was one of the biggest bands at Wacken and a few days ago I saw them here in Gothenburg in front of a comparably small crowd. Opeth don't play here it seems, although they did a great gig opening for Porcupine Tree, Opeth's first show here for five years. They should definitely play more, I don't see why they could not play with In Flames, Dark tranquillity etc...

Vanessa, if you like Iced Earth, they will play three shows in Sweden in February. They are supposed to play 150 minutes shows so I think that will be very nice. Great band (although not as thrilling as Opeth)

btw. when did porcupine tree play here? and did opeth open for them? and mostly. WHY DIDN'T I KNOW?! :´(
