I'm sure that it has been posted before, but I couldn't find it anywhere. What's the name of the song that Opeth walk out to during a live show?

before the heavy set sounds like the introduction music to the chicago bulls lol
Ha ha. The first time I saw them live last year, I was like, "Is that the Chicago Bulls' entrance music?" It's somewhat similiar.

It's music by the old german prog-rock band called Popol Vuh. The first one if "Mantra II" and the second one is "Through Pains to Heaven". They are both from "Nosferatu" soundtrack... not sure about year... maybe 1978 or something. Nice soundtrack in it's music entirety. Mike really love itm as I know.

Yeah that Popol Vuh thing is true. It's in the booklet of The Roundhouse Tapes.

edit: Nevermind... :------------d

That's some kickass stuff. A nice show of how dark medieval tones can be. Does any band nowadays has this kind of material out ?

The same melody is also found in Kleiner Krieger off of Einsjäger & Siebenjäger, where it serves as the intro. Not quite as ominous though, but still kickass.

Popol Vuh were quite awesome.

Since we are on the "what´s that song"-topic here, and I didn´t want to open an extra thread for it, does anybody know what song is played on the documentary of the Ghost Reveries-DVD, right after that part where Lopez plays this perfect long take and Mike jokes like "thats shit, what the hell are you doing?". Then there´s a cut and a new chapter starts, and some awesome sounding acoustic background music kicks in. It´s not an Opeth song.

Sorry if it has been asked before, I searched here but didn´t find anything.
