meh, im not too into it. simply because im a production freak and orchid sounds a bit hollow to me.

I don't see how people can freak over production when there's such a good album underneath. After listening to it for a while, you more hear what is there, not so much the production. (at least I do) Plus, a bit of a raw sound adds to the power of the album

OK! Mr. DevilDriver strikes again. Anyway, Orchid is a great album, the good old feeling, the simple guitar but ingenious playing. Two guitar at the same time action, great soloes, nice interludes, cool basstricks. Yeah, it's cool.

The twin guitar harmonies sound so rich, I just love the double bass,leads, and acoustic parts, everything about it. The music has such an epic feel to it.

Even though it's my fourth favorite, Orchid is the one that came out first, and I got first. It is to me, just as good as anything in their catalogue. And Orchid, along with MAYH, has the most sinister feel to it, than the rest. Well, Deliverance is pretty sinister,too.
