After Orchid Opeth Sucks

Wow, wow. Morningrise is like Orchid Pt. 2. This is great stuff.

Again, I apoligize. I am not kissing ass to make friends, as all of you should hate me anyway. But this band is better than I thought.

Does Still Life sound different from the rest of their library or something? I did not care for it, I sold it about a year back, maybe I am growing and developing (?)...I should give it another try.

HAHAHA

wd man.

very... very.... cool :).

This kinda gives me the notion.. if I get Opeth and just continuously shove it down the throat of every single prep/trendy I know it may actually start to deprogram them :).

Hey Draconian,

Sorry for calling you a "sloppy shrew"...or was it a "sloppy mole" or was it...ah nevermind.

:p

As someone said up above it's good that you can admit you were wrong, it takes even more balls tho to take peoples advice and in this case you went and checked out Morningrise! Well done man.

It took me a while to get used to Still Life, but i loved it. Peace out dude, and enjoy a decision well made.

:)

It doesn't matter how metal we are some of us will make the wrong decisions ..dher :) \m/

This guy is idiotic when he says "Opeth sucks after Orchid", for it was right after Orchid that they released their ultimate masterpiece "Morningrise", yet Orchid is still their second best album... i.m.o. that is.

I only read the first post in this thread, and I just felt the need to respond, even though I am a new member here, my thoughts and feelings about this band are very strong. I don't know what any of them look like. I don't even know all of their names. Does that matter? I will know all that eventually though. The music means most to me now.

I only own four of their cd's. Morningrise, Orchid, Blackwater Park, and Deliverance. I plan to get ALL of the others as money permits me to do so. I have however listened to mp3s of things off their other albums, and each time I hear a new song, I become more enchanted with this band each and every day. Right now I am playing all four of the cd's of theirs that I own back to back. I leave them playing while I am sleeping.

There is only one other band that has captured me as Opeth has, but I will not list it here, as you all will probably want to hunt me down and kill me. Lets just say my tastes are varied.

To the original poster in this thread, perhaps you could possibly pull that head uh' yours outta yo hiney and and turn the music up loud. Perhaps you should actually purchase and Opeth cd. I cannot fathom that anyone who has taken the time to actually listen to them, could love them any less than I.

Peace,
IS

Morningrise is wonderful. I have just been listening to this album...and I still have yet to get into Deliverence and My Arms, Your Hearse! I am excited...and no school for two days :D That means I can listen to my Opeth CD's and play Starfox Adeventures...sounds like fun. :)

Since I do not own all of their cd's, I cannot make an educated statement on which of their songs is best. Right now, of the four of the records that I own, I have to say that either To Bid You Farwell, or Masters Apprentices are the best, that is if you can even pick a "best".

I love MA so much because of not only the music behind it all, but the percussive nature of the vocals in the first segment of it. It is pure and unadulterated extacy. Just my thoughts.

Peace,
IS

I'm not one to judge others by their musical taste, but I can honestly make very negative assumptions about your sexual preference if you do not like Opeth. Opeth is the best band that has graced this planet in a very long while.
