I am a huge fan of the Romero Zombie flicks. Not the "based on" garbage that was so plentiful in the 80'S or the remakes but the original Romero films. I went to Best Buy last night looking for new bluray releases and holy shit there it was! Diary of the Dead. A new Romero flick added to the story. Dont know if it went straight to DVD or had a limited release but at any rate its awesome! Enjoyed it greatly. Its sort of a prequel even though its based mostly in present day. If your a Romero or even just a Zombie flick fan rent it. As usual he takes liberty bashing the remakes, spin offs and most importantly the state of society at large. Check it out!

Did you like Land Of The Dead? I thought it's pretty much as bad as films like Zombie 2 and 3...maybe even worse. I have not lost faith in Romero yet though, so <<<<<<<<<<i'm gonna check out this Diary Of The Dead.

For the record, I enjoyed the new Dawn Of The Dead. It's no Night Of The Living Dead, but I like it.
