OT: Band income. Store vs Service?

Do bands make the same amount when you buy a CD from the store as when you DL it from Napster or Rhapsody etc? I would think the pocket would be higher for DL since there is less overhead but I may be wrong......probably wrong... any of ya know?

bands don't make much money by selling cd's,unless youre U2, when they are lucky they get 25 cent an album. "small"bands make more by selling shirts and shit

The deal they negotiated after the Black Album gave them the highest cut of of each album sold ever seen in the recording industry. An article posted online and the recent U2 deal is on par with Metallica contract.
