OT: Damn, what a lousy time to be moving!

Exactly 26 days after I leave the city of Toronto for good (except, of course, for annual return trips for the Festival of Beer ), there's going to be a massive concert featuring the Rolling Stones and AC/DC, all for the low price of $21.95. And that price is Canadian, so for you Americans, that's about $14. When's the last time you've been able to see either of these bands alone for less than $50, never mind together. And I'm going to miss it

Across the country from Toronto to Edmonton. It's four solid days of driving without a nine month old...who knows how long it will take with Antonio? Seeing how the concert is on July 30, I start work on August 1, and we're mxing our line of credit just to make the move in the first place, it ain't goona happen

Ouch. We have friends who live in Calgary and may be moving to Edmonton this year. That is definitely a long haul.

The movers come on the third, we leave Toronto on the 4th of July. We have to be back in Edmonton by the morning of the 11th, as my wife is Maid of Honour at a wedding on the 12th.

Edmonton to Vancouver can be done in one very long day of driving (ie. 14-16 hours I think, depending on your speed), so skipping across the border from there wouldn't take much longer.

I don't know much Canada geography, and I'm like 3 or 4 hours away from Canada...Public Education for ya.
