OT: Metallica rips off Kittie?

Ok I need someone else to listen to this to see if I'm going nuts. If you compare St. Anger and the opening track of Kitte's debut album Spit, do they not sound the same?

Have I lost my mind in a wave of anti-Metallica paranoia?

I hear ya! Without having heard the Kittie song in question, I do notice a similarity that both St. Anger and Kittie are unlistenable.

Interesting...while ive never listened to Kittie and only a few tracks off of "Shit Anger", I heard a Korn song on the radio the other day and before the lyrics started,I thought it was the new Metallica. Nu-Metal shit...I even asked my wife who it was when they played it again later and she said it sounded like the new Metallica before the lyrics began.
