man, id hate to say it, but sjr is gonna start work on a 2nd album in feb 2k3 according to www.philanselmo.com no offense, but i hated sjr. I wish it woulda been like new pantera album or a down album

just my opinion, but i think pantera is at the end of their careers, their last album wasnt that great, too much black metal influence for my tastes.

I really only like Cowboys and Vulger from pantera. Trendkill and Reinventing the steel I dint like much and the one with the screw on it is like sticking your head in a jet engine.

The only good Phil Anselmo side project album that he has ever done in my opinion was the first Down record. SJR was shitty telentless noise and a waste of time to listen to and the 2nd Down record was mediocre at best. I did like Lysergik Funeral Procession and Landing on the Mountains of Meggido along with a couple of other tracks, but overall it lacked the craftsmanship and intensity of the first record. I can listen to the first one all the way through without skipping the tracks but cannot say the same for "Bustle in Your Hedgerow". I hope Pantera makes one more Vulgar/Cowboys/Driven mixed style record before they call it a day. Dimebag is a guitar god.
I think alot of the "true" metal types never got into anything past Vulgar. Darn shame, because that is the same type of attitude that seems to prevalent with Anthrax and Among the Living. Some people never got past it. But in Cincy's case, I know he actually listened and gave it a chance, so I respect his opinion.

I don't think Superjoint sucks that much. In fact I kinda like it, it isn't my fave record but what the hell. Have you heard Viking Crown? This is another Phil's project and it really does suck ass.
