As we already concluded here, the song is great ( in fact i think its one of the top 5 DT songs ever). Its now been released as a promo for the upcoming tour which im going to attend to...now, i was thinking, since its released as a promo for the tour, can i draw the conclusion that they will play it live???

Me too haha. I mean i would be surprised if they did cuz they never play bonustracks (for some reason i dont understand) but it really doesnt make any sense at all to release a promortrack for a tour and not play it???

haha ofcourse ur right, but they are always so awesome!!I know Niclas thinks static is one of the best DT tracks. just listen to static for example. I think it would be a treat to the fans to play bonustracks. I dont know how they choose the livematerial but i would be surpised if they only criteria they had was if people recognize or not. I also think it would mix things up a bit, last time i saw them in sweden on the fiction tour i thought the show didnt have enough disparity.

If they play this song live, one of you European cavemen had better learn to operate a camera, because I need to see this. It is relevant to my interests.

On the Insomnium side of this promo, am I the only one who loves Insomnium's music, but get really irritated at the vocals?

I hear you. Maybe not that bad, but not good either. The parts where Mikael sings are excellent. Love the heaviness, reminds me of really early DT and flames, sort of like i wish they could still sound like sometimes

I've never listened to Insomnium before. Having just given it a try, I'm inclined to agree. The growls are really deep, which doesn't fit with the bright, super-melodic character of the music. On the upshot, the music is incredible. I will have to investigate this further.

Been a fan of Insomnium for a while, suggest you check out their first album "In the Halls of Awaiting", especially the song Medeia. I think that album was much "rawer" than the rest of their albums and vocals fit much better.

Oh, I own all the Insomnium albums, I really enjoy the music. Medeia is my favorite song by them, but my opinion on the vocals have never changed.
